Software Engineer (Server - Python)

Atommica is looking for strong software engineers to join our growing team!

Responsibilities

  • The best candidates will have solid experience developing social applications utilizing Web 2.0 technologies. Social platforms and scaling experience is a huge plus. You will be joining a team that is committed to working on high quality code in a Python/Flash environment.
  • You will be addressing critical issues on some of our games. You must be able to write coherent, organized code and be comfortable working on a complicated code-base with high levels of abstraction.

Required Skills

  • Solid software development experience
  • Multiple and current Python projects
  • Passion for software development and OO Design
  • Familiarity with all of the following: Linux, Apache, MySQL
  • Excellent teamwork skills, flexibility, and ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Combination of product awareness and savvy engineering skills

Bonus Skills

  • Comfortable working with huge data sets and massively high concurrent-user load
  • Experience with sharding and/or sharded databases a plus
  • Worked with Amazon Web Services and Facebook APIs
  • Never say die attitude, action oriented, hands-on and scrappy
  • Willingness to work hard and play even harder
  • Don't mind working start-up hours
