Game Designer

We are looking for a sharp and disciplined game designer who has a passion for mobile & internet gaming. Your creativity and knowledge in this space makes you an appreciated and valuable player in the gaming industry and you love to share your genius on a day to day basis.

Responsibilities

• Works directly with producers and game team throughout the development & lifecycle to make great high quality products
• Working knowledge of social gaming metrics and the impact of design on those metrics
• Create or adapt leading game features to work with an existing game
• Pitch new ideas to the team/ hold brainstorming sessions
• Produce and update design specs, balance sheets and misc documentation
• Analyze real-time feedback and metrics, and adjust game designs accordingly
• Work with product managers, developers and artists to oversee the implementation of new features and systems
• Describe user experience stories and create wireframe screens and flows
• Remain up-to-date with Game Design literature and best practices to be an evangelist for the craft of Game Design

Required Skills

• You love games! You have a passion for making and playing computer games and strive to change the face of the industry
• You can pitch game concepts effortlessly
• Expert with math and formulas in game environment
• Experience designing combat and/or system mechanics including player control, moves, and NPC/AI types and behaviors
• Strong knowledge of game balancing and pacing
• Excellent teamwork skills, flexibility, and ability to handle multiple tasks

Bonus Skills

• Experience managing live games - where the game is continuously changed and improved
• Ability to acclimatize quickly to a rapidly shifting, fast-paced creative environment
• Never say die attitude, action oriented, hands-on and scrappy
• Creative writing skills
